Tunnel accident - Freeway

My heart felt sympathy goes to anyone who has lost someone in this or any other accident and my blessing to anyone who was in the tunnel and made it out… buy a tattslotto ticket…

I’ve never understood that phrase ‘’buy a tattslotto ticket'’ when you’ve had a near miss. Surely you’ve used your luck already? Shouldn’t the phrase be “don’t bother buying a tattslotto ticket”?
Agree why buy a lotto ticket when you have just had the best luck you could ever ask for. Still being alive.Seriously though.In regard to the accident it is a terrible tragedy and I too was deeply affected by this horrific event even though I don’t know anybody involved personally. My disabled mother-in-law, and I,( I also have walking and mobility problems)travelled through this tunnell for 3 weeks to visit my sister in Dandenong Hospital. Both mum and I would have had great difficulty in getting out of the car and walking out.Mum in wheelchair, me, back injury.We sat and pondered what we would have done and I hate to say it but without help from other motorists we would have been stuck there unable to walk or climb through emergency exits. So to all those who helped others in their time of need you should be very proud of yourselves for not letting anything more happen.It is as always though, until something drastic happens everyone assumes things are OK.I only hope that this never happens again and the powers that be make sure every possible scenario is looked at to prevent such tragedies from happening again.My deepest sympathies to all who lost a loved one in this accident.
Let’s not over-react to this terrible accident and start blaming the tunnel. Far worse accidents have occurred on our roads with multiple deaths. The fault is not with the tunnel but with speed and, especially in this age of the mobile phone, inattention. Just look at the people driving and note where there attention lies - certainly not on the road ahead and on the drivers around them. Last week’s accidfent happened not because of the tunnel but because of inattention and, maybe, speed.
Why are you guys always so quick to be negative, “Buy a tattslotto ticket” means they must be lucky people!! & to keep trying their luck! Sometimes some peoples comments leave me scratching my head!
